One Big Happy: 8 Months!!

Lucas is 8 months old and is officially a crawler! He had been working on it for a few weeks, but recently he is off and we are now chasing after two little ones. Since the last posting both kids celebrated a fun Christmas and went sledding for the first time! Elena loved it, Lucas was content just being pulled in the sled.

Lucas got two more teeth and is working on another two besides that. Despite a few rough patches and an ear infection, he is still as happy as can be, and is great at giving hugs and kisses. I would even venture to say that he is officially sleeping through the night; and I hope that putting that in writing doesn't come back to haunt me! He is enjoying being mobile, and being able to get the toys that Elena is playing with. Elena, on the other hand, is not so fond of his newfound skill. One of his other favorite things to do right now is to be held under his arm and jump on your legs; he just laughs and bounces and laughs and bounces...

Elena is growing everyday and is surprising us all the time with all the things she knows. She can count to ten and sing her ABC's and she is almost fully potty trained!! She also will "read" stories to her stuffed animals and dolls and puts them on time out when they are bad... We just are working on the overnights. Best of all, she has finally started watching shows other than "Yo Gabba, Gabba"! In February she also started taking gymnastics and she is doing so well at it! She is so excited to get there and listens and does everything the instructor tells her to.
